February 11, 2013 1530 hours. Nesconset Fire Department responds with dozens of other departments in regard to a slight shift in the roof of the Lifestyle wing from the snow load that resulted in a water leak. The leak was noted in the New York and Company store on the South side of the Lifestyle wing. The mall was ordered evacuated until such time as a structural engineer could evaluate the issue and determine what, if any repairs must be made. There were no injuries and most of the mall re-opened within 24 hours. 2-14-13 Smithtown News
