January 6, 2022 0739. Setauket Fire Department is dispatched to a reported house fire at 36 Huyler Court off Quaker Path. Arriving units encounter an active fire in the basement of an occupied single family private dwelling with extension to the ground level and attic. One line was stretched and the fire was quickly extinguished. Mutual aid was requested from Centereach, Stony Brook, Port Jefferson and Terryville Fire Departments. The fire was placed under control at 0800 hours.
