March 27, 2022 1417 hours. The East Northport Fire Department responds to 87 Soundview Avenue in regard to a structure fire. Crews arrive to find an active fire in a bedroom on the upper level of a two story private dwelling. The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes and the fire was placed under control within 20. Northport sent a RIT and Greenlawn FD sent an engine. The Commack Fire Department and CVAC sent crews to cover for the duration.
