June 16, 2018 The Hauppauge Fire Department was dispatched to an activated fire alarm at 250 Kennedy Drive. Units arrived, entered the building and after a search found an active fire in the metal shop of a 130,000 square foot packaging and warehouse facility. The sprinkler system was controlling the fire and crews stretched a line in and quickly finished the job. Fire was confined to the shop area but smoke damage was more extensive. Crews ventilated and overhauled then turned the scene over to the Smithtown Fire Marshals Office and Suffolk Arson.
