Central Islip FD-House fire on South Bedford Avenue

February 15, 2022 0248 hours. The Central Islip Fire Department responds to 85 South Bedford Avenue in Islandia in regard to a report of a house on fire. Arriving units transmit the working fire, advising of fire in the rear of a two story dwelling with extension to the roof. Multiple lines were stretched and operated. Mutual aid was requested from Lakeland FD for an engine, Islip Terrace FD for a RIT and the Hauppauge Fire Department for a ladder. Central Islip-Hauppauge Ambulance had units at the scene. No injuries were reported. Islip Town Fire Marshals are investigating.
