February 10, 1984 Fire reported at 1602 hours. Commack arrives to find heavy fire on the top floor of a three story vacant office building. Mutual aid from East Northport, Kings Park, Brentwood and Dix Hills. Commack firefighters Tom Patsos and Joe Gardinar were injured whwn a section of the parapet collapsed. Gardinar was treated and released but Patsos suffered five broken vertabre and remained in the hospital for 8 days.
