Commack FD-House fire on Kevin Drive

December 2, 2019 1833 hours. The Commack Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a house on fire at 14 Kevin Road. Units arrive to find an active fire in a utility closet on the 2nd floor with extension into the living area of a two story dwelling. Two lines were stretched in while crews ventilated and opened up. Thanks to the quick work of the FD. the fire was confined to the 2nd floor. Mutual aid was provided at the scene by the East Northport Fire Department and the the Kings Park Fire Department. The Dix Hills Fire Department sent an engine to Commack FD headquarters to cover for the duration of the alarm. Commack Ambulance sent multiple units to the scene.  There were no injuries.
