Hauppauge FD-Vacant house burns on Lincoln Blvd

January 27, 2021 2112 HRS Structure Fire- 195 Lincoln Boulevard. Units operated at this house fire until approximately 2230 hrs. under the Command of Chief Raymond Germaine who was aided by his Assistant Chiefs Kenneth Furuno and Christopher Crean. Hauppauge was aided by the Smithtown Fire Department, the Nesconset fire Fire Department and the Central Islip Fire Department who back filled our main station while we operated. Ambulances from Central Islip-Hauppauge and Commack Ambulance stood by at scene. This residence was set back off Lincoln Boulevard and FD units attacked the fire from Atlantic Place. No one was present at the residence when FD arrived. The fire was investigated by the Suffolk County Police Arson Squad, The Islip Town Fire Marshals office and the Fire District Fire Marshal. The fire origin was most probably carelessly discarded ashes from a residents destroyed documents that were placed in a combustible waste can on the combustible exterior deck.The First two photos are courtesy of Melissa Furuno and the remainder were taken by 3-8-40.
