Commack FD-Chris Raguso laid to rest

March 31, 2018 Roughly twenty five thousand people came out to say goodbye to Commack Honorary Chief and FDNY Lieutenant Chris Raguso today. After two days of wake services at Commack Fire Department Headquarters, Chris was moved to St. Josephs Church in Kings Park this morning passing under 15 flag arches lining Indian Head Road. Numerous firefighters including FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro spoke as did friends and family. After the funeral, Raguso was interred at Calverton National Cemetery. additional photos and video will be added. Photos by USANG 106 Tribute Page and Tim Asbel.

Gabreski Air National Guard Base March 27, 2018. The arrival and brief ceremony was held for Major Christopher T. Zanetis, a pilot, Master Sgt. Christopher J. Raguso and Tech. Sgt. Dashan J. Briggs, both special missions aviation specialists, who were all killed when their HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter crashed along the Iraq-Syria border near the city of Al-Qa’im.
