April 25, 2018 The Commack Fire Department suffered another loss, Honorary Chief Matthew Conforte. Matty volunteered and served the Commack community for over 58 years. He served as a Captain and a Commissioner. As a Veteran of the Korean War and Commack Firefighter, Matty dedicated himself by selflessly giving back to his Country and community. Matt was also a part time Fire Marshal for the Town of Smithtown. He will be missed by all.
