May 4, 2018 Stony Brook FD is dispatched to 43 Hawkins Road on a reported house fire. Units arrive to find fire showing out of the upper level of a two story wood frame private dwelling. Crews stretched in and mutual aid was requested. Setauket FD sent numerous units, St. James was requested for a RIT, and Centereach sent an engine. The fire was plced under control within a hour.
