Smithtown FD-House fire on Flamingo Drive

March 9, 1978 Fire reported at 1232 hours by a passing female mail carrier, smelled smoke while delivering mail to the house and she heard a dog within barking desperately. The occupants name is Budd. The mail carrier went next door, called the fire department and the neighbor used their key to let the dog out of the house. Fire was confined to the upper level of the house.
