Patchogue FD-Fatal fire on Rider Avenue

November 24 2021 1815 hours. The Patchogue Fire Department was activated for a report of a fire in the Rider Terrace Apartment at 75 Rider Avenue. Arriving units encountered an active fire within one second floor unit and a deceased adult female at the base of the stairs leading to same. The fire was confined to the one apartment. Suffolk police homicide and arson detectives as well as Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven are investigating. The fire has been deemed non-criminal. police identified the victim as Susanna Belgiorno, age 59, of Patchogue.
