January 28, 2019 The Commack FIre Department is dispatched to an activated fire alarm at 10 Long Bow Court. Units arrive to find an active fire in the attic of a single story ranch type dwelling. Crews went right to work, stretching and operating two hose lines. Mutual aid was requested from the Kings Park Fire Department to the scene and from the Nesconset Fire Department to cover. Commack Ambulance transported two occupants of the building to the hospital with smoke inhalation. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. FIre Marshals from the Town of Smithtown Department of Public Safety and from the Commack Fire District are investigating the cause.
