February 2, 2019 1844 hours. Kings Park FD responds to a report of a house on fire at 6 Churchill Road. Units arrive to find an active fire in the house. The fire is extinguished and placed under control in less than 30 minutes. East Northport FD sent a RIT and an ambulance, Commack FD sent an engine, Smithtown FD sent an engine and the Northport FD sent a ladder. The St. James Fire Department sent an engine and an ambulance to cover for the duration of the fire. There were no injuries. Fire Marshals from the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County and Detectives from the Suffolk County Arson squad are investigating.
