April 4, 2019 1310 hours. Commack FD responds to a report of a house on fire at 105 New Highway. The report through 911 was that a neighbor sees the front and side of the house on fire. Units arrived to find that neighbors had knocked the fire down with garden hoses. FD personnel completed extinguishment and overhauled the area. The fire was confined to the exterior of the house and involved vegetation and PVC siding on the front of the house. Fire Marshals from the Town of Smithtown Department of Public Safety are investigating.
