Lindenhurst FD-house fire on Dallas Street

At approx 5:45am the Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to a call for a house fire at 206 Dallas Street from a neighbor saying they saw flames and smoke coming from the roof. The neighbor was able alert the residents and assist them evacuating safely. Chief of Department DeGregorio was in command and the fire was under control within approximately 30 minutes. No injuries were reported. Cause of the fire is under investigation. Mutual aid was provided by the WestBabylon and Copiague Fire Departments.
