East Farmingdale FD-Commercial building fire on Smith Street

March 24, 2022 1837 hours. The East Farmingdale Fire Company responds to a report of a fire in a commercial building at 550 Smith Street. Units arrive to find an active fire within a single story commercial building occupied by Vogue Fabrics. Firefighters used one hand line into operation and quickly extinguished the fire. The Melville Fire Department sent a RIT and Wyandanch Ambulance sent an ambulance. There were no injuries. Fire Marshals from the Town of Babylon are investigating.
