East Farmingdale FD-Commercial structure fire on Engineers Lane

March 3, 2022 1402 hours. The East Farmingdale Fire Department is dispatched to an activated fire alarm at 14 Engineers Lane. Units arrived to find smoke pushing from the single story building occupied by Pharbest Pharmaceuticals Inc. The working fire was transmitted for a fire in a compactor connected to the rear of the building. Crews attacked the fire while others searched and checked for extension. Mutual aid was requested from the Melville Fire Department for a RIT, Wyandanch Fire Company for a truck, and Farmingdale Village Fire Department for an engine. Wyandanch Ambulance was also on scene. The fire was placed under control by 1445 hours. Units operated for approximately an hour. There were no injuries.
