East Farmingdale FD-Fire on Cabot Street

May 4, 2021 2328 hours. The East Farmingdale Fire Department responded to a General Alarm for smoke coming from a commercial building 172 Cabot Street. After crews made entry to the building, a working fire was resounded. Engine 1-5-1 and Ladder 1-5-15 responded first due and made a quick knockdown using a 2 1/2″ hose line which contained the fire to the suite of origin. Also on scene were Engine 1-5-2, 1-5-6, & 1-5-7, Heavy Rescue 1-5-4, Tower Ladder 1-5-5, Ambulance 1-5-8, 1-5-9, & 1-5-10, Fire Police 1-5-12 & 1-5-18, First Responder 1-5-80 & 1-5-81, Support 1-5-21 & 1-5-22, and Assistant Chief 1-5-32. All units were under the command of Chief of Department Duane Welliver. Units from the North Lindenhurst FD, West Babylon Fire Department and Wyandanch Wheatley Heights Ambulance were also on scene.
