Hauppauge FD/CIHVAC-fatal pedestrian struck on Motor Parkway

January 25, 2020 1824 hours. Suffolk PD, Hauppauge FD and Central Islip Hauppauge Ambulance were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Motor Parkway, just east of Veterans Highway. Units arrive to find two subjects pinned between a mini van and a Dodge Durnago. PD applied a tournequet to the leg of one subject (a teenaged male and FD personnel extricated him with hydraulic tools. He was then transported to the hospital via ambulance. The other subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. Chief of Department Ray Germaine was the OIC.
