Central Islip FD-house fire on Ridge Avenue

January 19, 2022 1603 hours. Central Islip Fire Department responds to a house fire at 33 Ridge Avenue. Units arrive to find an active fire in a bedroom of a two story, two family private dwelling. Crews stretch two hand lines and make quick work of the fire. The fire was placed under control at 1630 hours. Mutual aid from Lakeland for an engine to the scene, Nesconset for a RIT and Islip Terrace to cover.
