Deer Park FD-Fire on Pine Acres Blvd

11/03/21 – 15 Pine Acres Blvd On Wednesday afternoon, our department was activated for a residential structure fire on Pine Acres Blvd. Upon arrival of 1-4-31, he notified Babylon Central Fire Alarm that it was a one story residential structure with a hydrant located at the corner of block. Upon the initial alarm, Dix Hills Fire Department was activated for an engine to the scene according to our daytime procedures. After investigating, 1-4-31 reactivated the alarm as a working fire with fire in the attic. The first due engine picked up the hydrant, stretching an 1 3/4 hand-line and knocked down the fire while the truck company opened up walls. The crews stretched 2 1 3/4 handlines, searched the structure for occupants, shut off the utilities, vented the structure and overhauled the structure to guarantee no fire spead. With the assistance of our members, Dix Hills Fire Department and North Babylon Fire Company the fire was brought under control within a short time. The fire scene was turned over to the Town Of Babylon fire marshals for investigation. Zone2Photo
