Seven miles of Jericho Turnpike renamed in honor of Chris Raguso

August 3, 2019 A beautiful summer day was the perfect backdrop for the unveiling of the street signs along Jericho Turnpike in Commack and Smithtown renaming it the “Lt. Christopher J. Raguso FDNY-CFD Memorial Highway” Hundreds of people gathered at Commack Fire Department Headquarters for the event, including members of the Commack Fire Department, the Air National Guard, FDNY, the community and a number of dignitaries. The renamed stretch of Jericho Turnpike runs from near the Dix Hills Diner in Elwood to Meadow Road in Smithtown.
