North Babylon Fire Company-House fire on Fulton Street

January 18, 2021 2212 hours. while operating at an EMS alarm on Essex Street, the North Babylon Fire Company was dispatched to an additional alarm, an automatic fire alarm one block over on Fulton Street. While en route, Babylon Central Fire Alarm notified units that they took a phone alarm reporting that the house was on fire. The call was re-toned as a structure fire. Units arrived shortly thereafter and the alarm was transmitted again as a working fire. Due to the immediate response of units, the fire was quickly extinguished. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Fire Marshals from the Town of Babylon and the Suffolk County Police Department Arson Squad. Mutual aid was provided by the Deer Park and West Babylon Fire Department as well as the East Farmingdale and Wyandanch Fire Companies.
