December 28, 2021 1845 hours. Huntington Manor firefighters responded to 2 Sweet Hollow Road for a report of a structure fire. First on scene Chief Brady advised of smoke coming from the home and reactivated for a working fire. First due Engine 3, secured a hydrant in front of the home and began an interior attack on the fire. Firefighters from Quint 6 stretched a 2nd line while firefighters from the Melville Fire Department stretched a 3rd line. The fire was declared under control in 40 minutes. Huntington Manor was assisted at the scene by the Melville, Huntington, Greenlawn and Dix Hills Fire Departments. Huntington Community First Aid Squad provided an E.M.S. standby.
