March 28, 1987 Photo by Tony Jerome-Pulled to Safety. Rescuers gently pull Danielle Esposito, 5, from an abandoned cesspool at a factory near her St. James home yesterday. Danielle’s father, Robert, saw her slip into the 12 ½oot hole about 5:30 p.m. and immediately called for help. Nesconset Assistant Fire Chief James Goelz was lowered into the hole, where he attached a line to the frightened girl. She emerged unhurt, except for a few scrapes. NEED EXACT LOCATION
