Nesconset FD-Charter member John A Lewis passes

March 27, 1975 Story appears in the 3-27-75 issue of the Smithtown News. There is no exact date of death though.Mr. Lewis lived on Hillcrest Drive and passed while in Florida with his wife visiting their daughter. Mr. Lewis was the proprietor of the Chevron station on Smithtown Blvd, which he operated for almost 30 years. Mr. Lewis was the Treasurer of the FD and was active in both the Elks and Lions clubs. He was also an officer in the Nesconset Civic Association. Mr. Lewis settled in Nesconset in the mid 30s.
