January 9, 2020 1019 hours. The Smithtown Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle crash at Beverly Road and Wichard Blvd. Units arrive to find a crash involving a single vehicle (a van), which was resting on its side. The lone occupant self extricated and was transported to the hospital by Smithtown Fire Department Ambulance 4-2-62. Crews from Engine 15 and Rescue 9 secured the vehicle. All units operated under the command of Asst Chief Timothy Duckham.
