August 24, 2018 1045 hours. Kings Park Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a traffic collision on Pulaski Road near Avenue A. Units arrived to find that a adult male who had been riding a bicycle struck the side of a van, resulting in serious injuries. The victim was transported via ambulance to Stony Brook Hospital. The vehicle operator was not injured. Pulaski Road remained closed for a few hours for the police investigation.
