September 4, 2018 2006 hours. Ronkonkoma, Farmingville and Nesconset FDs are dispatched to a reported house on fire at 205 Avenue A in the Ronkonkoma Fire District. Ronkonkoma units were first in and advised of an active fire in a vehicle within a garage. Two lines were stretched and the fire was quickly extinguished before extending into the living area. There were no injuries and the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshals are handling the cause investigation. This was Ronkonkoma second working fire of the day. Photo courtesy of Dennis Whittam.
