Brookhaven Fd-house fire on Gerard Road

April 11, 2021 0045 hours. The Brookhaven Fire Department was activated for a reported house fire at 80 Gerard Road, off Sterling Path. On arrival crews encountered heavy fire in a two-story private dwelling. Firefighters went to work and mutual aid was requested from the Bellport, Hagerman and Yaphank Fire Departments.  The fire was knocked down within 20 minutes. The Mastic Fire Department sent an engine to cover and South Country Ambulance had crews on scene. There were no reported injuries. The Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals and Suffolk Police Arson Squad are investigating.
