0815 hours. Farmingville Fire Department is dispatched to a house fire at 27 Laurel Place. Units arrive to find heavy fire venting from a single car garage attached to a single story private dwelling. Crews stretched lines on the fire in the garage and to deal with fire that had extended into the house. Mutual aid was requested from the Holtsville, Centereach, Selden and Ronkonkoma Fire Departments. The fire was extinguished within 40 minutes and there were no injuries. Damage was extensive to the house and to the garage. Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven are investigating. All photos courtesy Chris Sabella-On Scene Photography.
