February 24, 1984 282 Stonegate. This fire causes 250K in damage. This is the 2nd of two fires that Nissequogue firefighter Douglas Einsfeld is arrested and charged with starting. He is arrested on this date, the day of a second fire at this house. Doug was 18 at the time of his arrest. He had been first due to both fires. The house was unoccupied during both fires. Arson detectives were Det. Sgt John Ryan and Detective Jeff Weiner. Enisfeld is charged with 2 counts of arson 3rd. Einsfeld lived at 254 Stonegate. The first fire was on 12/24/1982.
