Nesconset FD-Court battle begins over land ownership at fire headquarters

Legal proceedings commence in regards to a disputed tract of land on the north east corner of the Nesconset FD headquarters land. Mike Sforza claims that since 1954, he has used this land. The Fire Department felt that he was now encroaching on their land and as such, they decide to fence it in. Attorney for Sforza hopes to win the property from the Fire Department in court by claiming “adverse possession”.
