Nesconset FD-Firefighter Patricia Colombraro receives award

February 11, 1997 Firefighter Patricia Colombraro is awarded an honorary lifetime membership by the Nesconset Elementary School Parent Teacher Association for her dedication to fire prevention. Patty is both a firefighter and the fire prevention chairperson/coordinator, who has brought the fire departments fire education program to countless youngsters. Patty received the PTA Founders Day award in honor of her service to children. The award, along with the “Firefighter Patty” mailbox made by the kindergartners, was presented to the surprised recipient at the PTA meeting on this day. Patty, who was the Nesconset Fire Departments first female firefighter in 1982, has continued her tireless effort to educate the public on fire safety to this day (2022).
