June 26,2019 1932 hours. Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that injured two people, one seriously, in Kings Park. Police say that William Seitz was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban eastbound on St. Johnland Road near Squire Lane when his vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and crashed head-on into a 2016 Chrysler driven by Carissa Clancy at approximately 7:30 p.m. Seitz, 54, of Northport, extricated by firefighters from the Kings Park and Smithtown Fire Departments and was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Clancy, 26, of Kings Park, was extricated by firefighters and was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via Kings Park Fire Department ambulance under police escort with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
