Kings Park FD-Fire guts Chevron station on 25A

January 18, 1979 Fire occurred in the morning hours. The station is listed as being on 25A and Lou Avenue, but does not give the exact address. Investigators speculate that the fire was started by an electrical arc or a cigarette while a youth was cleaning the floor with gasoline. There people were injured. Robert Nolan, 17 of 11 Spencer Way was taken to the burn unit at Nassau County Medical Center, Wayne Cafarella, 16, of 9 Bruce Lane and Michael Pawlirzin, 20, of 140 Church Street, were taken to St. Johns Hospital and then transferred to Huntington Hospital.
