Smithtown FD-garage fire on Bridlepath Road

January 17, 2022 0349 hours. Smithtown Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a house on fire at 23 Bridlepath Road. Crews arrived and encountered heavy smoke pushing from the garage of a two story dwelling. A line was stretched and the fire was extinguished before it extended into the living area of the house. Mutual aid was provided by the Kings Park, Hauppauge and Commack Fire Departments. Smithtown Fire Marshals are investigating. This fire occurred during a nor’easter.
