Kings Park-Fatal fire in a boarding house

January 15, 1900. There is considerable mystery in connection with the fire early this morning which destroyed the boarding house of Bernard Osterby, at Fort Salonga and caused the death of Niels Kiepner. Coroner Davison granted a permit for the removal of the body of Keipner and will make every effort to solve the origin of the fire. The insurance company which held the risk of $1,000.00 on the house will also make an investigation today. The destruction of this house removes an old landmark, as the house was considerable over 100 years old. The only regret expressed by the neighbors is that a life should have been lost in the fire.
