January 14, 1978 Fire reported in the morning. FD operations hampered by sub freezing temps. House was gutted. Fire took two hours to place under control. House owned and occupied by the Godfrey family. Firefighters rescue one adult male via a second story window. Fire was a result of a Franklin stove problem.
