Yaphank Fire Department

March 26, 2021 2226 hours. The Yaphank Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a horse barn on fire at Suffolk Equestrian Center at 188 Bellport Avenue in Medford. Units arrived to find heavy fire throughout a large horse barn. Mutual aid was requested from surrounding departments. Firefighters had to lay thousands of feet of supply line due to there being no hydrants in the area. There were no injuries to firefighters or to any animals.
