Medford Fire Dept-Residential structure fire on North Ocean Ave.

November 15, 2021 1732 hours. the Medford Fire Department was alerted to a reported structure fire at 999 North Ocean Avenue. With Chief of Department Michael Barry in command, Second Assistant Chief Fischer made entry into the structure, confirming an active fire in the basement. First due Engine 12 stretched the initial attack line and contained the fire to the basement. Crews from Ladder 5, Engine 13, 3, 7, Rescue 15 and Fire Police Unit 20 also responded. -The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshals Office.
