January 7, 2022. 0015 The Hampton Bays Fire Department was dispatched to a multi-boat and camper fire off of Foster Avenue. Upon arrival, Chief James Kappers confirmed that two large boats and a camper were fully involved. The firefighting crews of 7-5-2, 7-5-4 and 7-5-7 worked diligently to put out the multiple fires with limited mobility due to the close proximity of the boats. East Quogue Fire Department covered the district and Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corp sent units to the scene Southampton Town Fire Marshals are handling the investigation.
