March 21, 2022 1230 hours. The Riverhead Fire Department is dispatched to a structure fire at the Home Depot store (1550 Old Country Road). Crews arrive to find furniture burning in the front of the store entrance. The fire is quickly extinguished on the exterior while the sprinkler system prevented any extension into the building. There were no injuries. The Riverhead Fire Marshal is handling the investigation along with Suffolk Police Arson Detectives. Photos via GroupMe.
