March 1, 2021 1335 hours. Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a house fire on Donna Court in the Holtsville Fire District. A Holtsville FD EMS Captain, who lives next-door, assisted the residents and their dog safely out of the home. The fire was quickly extinguished by crews. One occupant and one first-responder were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshals.
