Holbrook FD-House fire on Blue Point Road West

May 9, 2021 1056 hours. The Holbrook Fire Department is activated for numerous reports of a house fire at 263 Blue Point Road West. Units arrive to find a well involved 1.5 story wood frame dwelling. Mutual aid was requested into the scene from the Holtsville, Sayville, Farmingville, Bayport and North Patchogue Fire Departments. Multiple lines were stretched and operated along with two tower ladders.The fire was placed under control within an hour. One civilian was transported to the hospital. There were no other injuries. The Islip Town Fire Marshals office is handling the investigation. The Town of Islip Haz-Mat team was also on scene. The Ronkonkoma sent an engine to cover for the duration of the incident.
