Bohemia FD-Commerical building fire on Knickerbocker Ave

May 18, 2021 2000 hours. The Bohemia FD is activated for a commercial building on fire at 360 Knickerbocker Avenue. A Community ambulance in the area advised of heavy smoke coming from within Unit 12 of a multiple occupancy, with multiple cars burning inside. Crews stretched and operated multiple hand lines for approximately 90 minutes before placing the fire under control. Mutual aid was provided by the Lakeland, Holbrook and West Sayville Fire Departments. Community Ambulance had multiple units on scene. There were no injuries. Suffolk Arson Detectives and Fire Marshals from the Town of Islip are investigating. Video-Chris Sabella.
