Holtsville FD-House fire on Waverly Avenue

June 25, 2021 While returning from another alarm, members of the Holtsville Fire Department were re-directed to a report of a house fire at 1056 Waverly Avenue. Units arrive to find fire in a residence within a two story converted garage on the property. Firefighters had fire on both floors and extinguished the fire with multiple hand lines. Mutual aid was provided by units from the Farmingville, Holbrook, Ronkonkoma, Selden and North Patchogue fire departments. A female occupant was transported to the hospital with burns. There were no other injuries reported. Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals are handling the investigation. Video by Chris Sabella.
