Farmingville FD-House fire on Woodycrest Drive

October 3, 2021 0100 hours. Farmingville Fire Department was dispatched to 88 Woodycrest Drive in regard to a report of a house on fire. On arrival firefighters encountered a fully involved vehicle and private dwelling. As crews were operating, a live utility wire came down, resulting in injuries to several firefighters working in close proximity. Most of injured firefighters were treated at the scene, but two were transported to the hospital for evaluation. The main body of fire was knocked down within forty minutes but the house and vehicle were a total loss. There were no civilian injuries. The Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals and Suffolk Police Arson Detectives are investigating. Chris Sabella video
